Why write a blog?

My work is always shifting. I have learnt to embrace these changes as part of its ‘being’ in the world. I like making all kinds of stuff (soft and hard) and I like drawing. I have a preoccupation with 'identity' - specifically the continuous nature of the process, which keeps everything and one in flux. I come from a sculpture background, but many of the ‘things’ I’ve made struggle or refuse to inhabit that realm. Some have functional properties others are unstable. The odd piece has even been in danger of becoming ordinary - maybe a step to far… The current work considers the notion of black as a ‘cultural construct’, abstract and constantly evolving...
